Mind Mirrors is my first ever fully solo bass album, even though I have recorded solo bass tracks on many of my other recordings.

"The reflection of the sky in a lake, the sun streaming through windows in the morning, tributaries of sound, the rumble of thunder (captured on my phone while composing “Thunder”) - everyday experiences, all reflected in mirrors of the mind. This music comes from all those places.

All the compositions, including Tributes and Tributaries, pay deep gratitude to the long lineage of extraordinary bassists who blazed the way forward. There are far too many to name, but I will say that Alone or Together (a tune that I wrote in my early twenties but never recorded until now) is a tribute to the great Ray Brown."
